The Tolix chair... oh my love....

So my very FIRST post was about my love for the Tolix chair- I am not sure why my love for this chair (old or new) runs so very deep... but I must share it with you....

So my love has evolved to the stools and just everything... I will keep collecting and sharing... until next time...

These are hard not to love. But really - can you explain to me why these are so damn expensive? The most beautiful ones are covered in rust and look like they've been fished from a dumpster :)

Because they are old, were typically used outside in European Cafes and when they are imported to the US they cost even more because of the cost to bring them in. They will last forever (as you can see) though! And are very comfortable well worth the investment!

I love these stools and chairs too, but the originals are so damn expensive! I did buy some replicas recently on eBay in Australia. They cost me less than half the price of the original and seem to be just as good. I'm a very happy boy! 6 dining chairs for $1000! I do love the old ones too that look like they've been through a war. They're so versatile. They look good in modern or retro houses. Nice post!

The Tolix chairs are classic, clean and beautiful. Love the "industrial" look mixed with farm chippy stuff. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and pictures--very cool!
