Steampunk aka The New Victorians is a wonderful new trend. Some say this vintage industrial steam era inspired interior and fashion trend was solidified with the amazing interiors of Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch of Roman and Williams hit the scene. Their design of hospitality spaces across the board is amazing!
Have you see the trend popping up? I feel like I see it everywhere... and I love it!

I have never heard about "steampunk" before but even here in Belgium I see the industrial elements everywhere!

Great compilation. I found myself identifying with the New Victorians and one or two other styles shown in the House Beautiful style breakdown. Don't remember the other two off the top of my head. I see alot of industrial influence lately too. I like it when it's mixed with some other styles so that it's a little more subtle and not overly trendy.
Having just finished a work space with an industrial table on wheels from an old post-office and an army table painted in white and greige :) I so feel at home here on your site today! I have always been a rebellion punkhead but I would love to call myself a steampunk fan and I am so gonna adopt that word!
