So you can say it! I am a designer groupie!! I was so excited a few weeks back when I went to a warehouse sale - we were all lined up waiting to go inside and I turn around and what do you know - Dan Marty is standing right in front of me! I was amazed.. I have never seen a super amazing wonderful designer SHOPPING!!! Hello it was like a glimpse into a secret world. A world where dreams come true...
Anyway, I asked for a picture and he was so very sweet and posed with me. We chatted about his design business and his store and the blog. It is such a nice thing to meet someone and have them be a truly nice person. So now I love him more!!!
The top pictures are of his store at the Design Center and his current space. The bottom photos are of the sale and of my loot!..
Have a great day and may you meet a really sweet designer or other professional that you admire today!!

Do you have his blog address? I would love to read it.
How cute that he dresses in what appears to be head to toe grey.
My husband is sure I am insane now.
We were walking through a design store(mall) today and I saw pale grey tufted chairs and exclaimed Greige would love this !
They were beautiful and you would have... he just shook his head and kept walking..
How lovely that you were able to meet Dan Marty! I'm sure it was a great feeling:-).
I squealed out loud when I saw the photos of little pots! Ahhhh! I have a bit of a pot fetish! Zinc, Terra cotta...anything small and weathered.
Happy Day!

Qué bien que disfrutaste tanto!!!!!!
How completely fabulous for you. So pleased he turned out to be so lovely as well! And some totally great loot you scored!! What a great day!!
I’m sitting here speechless, stunned and happily amazed! I worked for Dan about 10 years ago when he had his store Les Interiors in Newport Beach. I adored working with him and learned so much from him. I used to love watching him walk around his beautiful store, rearranging and updating as his mood saw fit. He has an amazing esthetic, an artistic eye and he is truly a beautifully generous person, both professionally and personally.
Since that time I moved to New York and, sadly, lost touch with Dan…..but not for a lack of trying. The last time I visited CA I went by his store only to find out that he’d moved up to LA. I’ve Googled him several times and found out where he currently is but have been too chicken to call. If you by any chance have his email address and could forward my information to him I’d greatly appreciate it.
How fantastic! I just did a post about him on my blog not too long ago. Amazing.
Everything in this post is welcome to come and make themselves at home in my home. Love it all.
