Bobby McAlpine and Susan Ferrier down at the beach..

I was thinking about something.  I have seen many houses as of late that are very autumn - do you know what I mean?  Houses that I am not sure could really go from one season to the next without a major overhaul.  That is one thing I love about this house and really all of the houses that they design..  they are season-less.  They can move easily from one season to the next without making much of a change...  So subtle and clean..

By the way I need that chaise for my bedroom!

Oh I can see myself stretched out by that window , reading, gazing out, napping .. I would be quite happy in that kitchen too !
Don't you love that painting ?

LOVE this house. Not suer how big the house is but I like that they used one paint color for all rooms. Same thing I'm considering but was concerened about the monotony of it. Thanks for the reinforcement. love this post.

It definitely seems like a home you wouldn't get tired of and would stand the test of time. Very pretty.

IS HE NOT THE BEST!! I WAS SO FORTUNATE TO HEAR A LIVE LECTURE THAT HE GAVE IN CHICAGO LAST WEEK AND EVEN HIS DELIVERY IS WONDERFUL. A REAL SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN! THE ULTIMATE DREAM IS TO LIVE IN ONE OF HIS DESIGNS RIGHT AT WATERS EDGE! HOW ABOUT THAT FIRST PICTURE!

Chic and simple with quality finishes and elegance that could likely wear and look great for the long haul. Plus, the home could easily be made more seasonal throughout the year with a variety of throws and pillows.

I agree with your comments about this home having the ability to transition from one season to the next. It is beautiful. Homes like this are few and far between. Thanks for sharing!

I love the white ottoman in the last photo. Any good suggestions of where to purchase something like that? Thanks!
