Sitting on a shelf in a forgotten country house library, a well-constructed book printed on cotton-rag paper can last hundreds of years, but once its binding is torn off for a short-lived decrating fad, it's worthless, and once the silly fad passes, the book is trash. I'm all for recycling but that's one hell of a way to do it. What's next? Cutting antique paintings out of their frames, rolling them up inside out, tying them with string and grouping them in weathered baskets to show off their stained canvas backing? This kind of destructive nonsense is Follow the Leader of the worst kind.
Anon.. I guess I never thought of it that way. I am afraid at the rate we are going that printed books may become a thing of the past altogether. I love the feel of a book and the paper in hand when I read. Time will tell...
So so happy to find your stunning blog! I love all things grey {as I have professed on my blog may a time!} and I am excited to follow along :) Nancy xo
great minds think alike. just bought an old tailors dummie and some old papers, they've made fab vintage home accessories. My daughter Uploaded the images to my facebook page.
in re-reading some of your postings, I realized that you gave credit to Room seventeen for the images, but they had borrowed them from us. This are Johan's photos. No biggie, no harm done.

Wow,
in re-reading some of your postings, I realized that you gave credit to Room seventeen for the images, but they had borrowed them from us. This are Johan's photos. No biggie, no harm done.
