Picnics are one of my favorite things to do. Paris is right up there along with attending outdoor concerts in the summer. I love my little picnic basket. It holds lots of special memories!
I wish we could have a picnic but we're expecting over a foot of snow later, seriously. My husband and I have had picnics indoors on the living room floor, lots of fun with our golden and no ants. Love that suitcase in the picture I just bought two like that at an antique shop.
we adore picnics and rarely eat inside once it's warm enough to throw a blanket out on the lawn. now we're in the midst of hills, i'm looking forward to walking over them to find the perfect spot. my favourite place to picnic is on the beach, staying til dark. x
What a great shot. And yes, I adore picnics - I just don't seem to have them any more. I've always wanted one of those decked out British hampers but I don't really have anyplace to use it. Just love the idea!!
Oh yes I love pic nics and we do them so often here in sunny Sydney. Breakfasts eaten cross legged on the beach. A basket full of afternoon snacks taken on the magnificent cliffs facing the Pacific Ocean. It's all part of our daily life.
My most memorable pic nic.. Hmm.. Perhaps the meal I once had a the top of the second largest mountain in Norway, having hiked up to the top for 8 hours. That was a spectacular picnic spot and the food we brought in our back packs tasted heaven!
I love picnics so much I wrote a book on them, alas out of print now - "Picnics of New England" published by the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. But come spring, friends & I have an elegant picnic at least once a month, always choosing an intersting "spot". Not hard to do in Santa fe...
It has been many, many years. But I would love to go on a picnic regularly. I like the kind of picnic that is truly in nature, not in a city park, with gourmet food, crystal and cloth napkins and a fab blanket.
