So like I said - I fell in love with all of the doors at Versailles.. however, I think that these were my favorites..
They were the perfect color and simple and understated...
the stone surrounding them was perfection-
LOVED them...
Is it weird to love a set of doors?
So what are your plans for the weekend?
I think some work and relaxation here with the holiday and all!
Yes that is me in the bottom photo there.. don't get used to seeing me.. it is fairly rare that I am in any photos, as I am usually holding the camera.

Those door are gorgeous! The color, the size and the beautiful architectural stone detail around them is just beautiful!
Very cool, Christina! Wonderful photo of you in front of the serenely pretty doors. I just assumed everything was gilded at Versailles.
And I share your passion for doors- but they have to be just the right ones;!
Yes, the doors are gorgeous - and you look great too!
oh, very lovely doors...
and it's good to fall in love with design...

I think it is more weird NOT to fell in love with these doors :)
Maybe we could start a door lovers support group because we have the same issues. We adore doors and love to look at images of just doors. They are like a work of art. This door is fabulous! The scale of this door is so grand, the color is perfect and the door knobs and hardware are great. Love it!!!
Not weird at all... They are gorgeous.
Great pictures Christina, and how nice to see you again !! I think you're right these doors are just perfect, if they were my front door I'd pause to admire them everytime I went home.

Hello,
These doors are gorgeous. I'm also in love with him.
Have a nice weekend

Christina, Thank you for your photo in the doorway. It shows the scale of those beautiful doors. Wouldn't it be a wonder to know what Louis and MA would think to know that their 'home' is so revered to this day when they were so vilified for their extravagance? I have often wondered about the door hardware that is in the center of the doors and how that mechanism is designed, built and installed, especially in the days of everything made by hand. Weren't you amazed by the craftsmanship all around you? Love your daily posts!!! Thank you, again! Christine
well the doors are gorgeous, but you standing in front of them shows how huge they are!! I thought they were regular sized doors.
I also love doors and the ones you photographed are beautiful. Don't you just love the door hardware and the placement of the same?
It is also very nice to put a face with you're lovely blog.

Nice to see you Christina...and put a face to the name...great photos...have just done a similar post on doors in Paris...it's just amazing isn't it...there's just so much beauty in everyday things in this beautiful city! Robx
Beautiful doors! You're right, the color is perfection. I've been trying to organize my mom's 30 years worth of inspiration files and she has a ton of door pictures. Fabulous doors are a must in my opinion.
Christina, you look very French, and quite at home in the palace Versailles! They are exquisite doors.
It is not weird to love a set of doors, certainly not ones as gorgeous as those! I also love the door furniture. Have an enjoyable weekend, love Linda x
In my world...not weird at all to love a set of doors! They are lovely! I loved the flooring as well!
Thanks for sharing!
Have a nice weekend!

Love the shot of you and those doors. You make perfect partners for a fabulous entrance.

Cristina,
Are all the doors the same color? In one photo they look grey, but in the photo with you, the doors appear more blue than grey. Gorgeous!
