Linen Cabinet

This is such a great piece.  I love the contrast!

I have been loading up my linen closet with the best that I can afford lately.  After being gone I could not wait to come home and climb into my bed with my linen sheets.  It is such a treat to have them that I have invested in an additional set... so much nicer than the cotton...

How about you do you love linens?

Lately I find my self falling for them more and more - vintage and organic being my favorites!  We found some great unused vintage linen sheets while in France and they are fantastic once they are clean and fresh.

I absolutely love linen!

I adore antique linen sheets too, the 'floppy' nature is divine, but I also love the crisp cool feeling of a high thread count cotton (600 plus). One of my ultimate indulgence was the purchase of the sublime 100% silk bedlinen from Gingerlily in 'nude' the softest dusky pink beige. It's a wonderful way to wake up in the morning with beautifully polished hair!!! Great cupboard by the way and lovely post! Warmest wishes - Glenda

A girl after our own heart. The small things in life such as fabulous linens give us something to look forward to at the end of the day. Would love to find a linen cabinet like this one. Beautiful!!!

I love linen! When I was manufacturing baby bedding, all of our crib sheets were linen! People love them.

I love linen but have yet to get a set of linen sheets - I love crispy cotton. I just saw a similar cabinet done in distressed white that I am swooning over :)

I love linen but have yet to own any. I prefer soft cotton which is cool and inviting to sleep in.

Pretty cabinet.

I have linen sheets of my in laws that are beautifully monogrammed and lovingly worn, which makes them all the better in my book!! I never sleep better than when they are on our bed.

Linens, especially French linens are a huge weakness for me. There is something so lovely about crisp linens, ironed with lavender water, with monograms that whisper the mysteries of the past - well, I just need a linen closet stuffed full of that, don't you?
PS - those rooftop photos you shot are heart-stopping beautiful. They literally took my breath away.

I don't have any linen sheets, but aspire to having some vintage ones. The linen press is wonderful. Love Linda x

This cabinet is divine...I hope to be as lucky in my quest for a similar one to hold my vintage linen collection. I am slowly beginning to use more of them, instead of just store them. There's such a wonderful quality to them...definitely my favorite thing to collect!

What a stunning cabinet. I love the fact that it has a slightly worn look - it gives it so much more character and personality.

I must say that I prefer Egyptian cotton sheets. I have a set of beautiful linen duvet covers, but I find them too heavy. They weigh down the duvet so much I feel uncomfortable, but give me a set of air dried and neatly pressed Egyptian cotton sheets and I am in heaven!
