The gardens at Versailles were so expansive and amazing. I cannot even imagine the creative minds that it took to make such a beautiful statement. I plan on spending a little time tending the gardens this weekend here at home.
What about you? What are you up to this weekend?

I hope you're able to install that terrace from an earlier post and add these old fashioned English garden roses...it would look so divine...

Working in the garden also. When I visit Versailles last year it was early spring and a cold rainy day, but the gardens were still beautiful.
Bonjour Christina,
J'adore ton blog!
Cette maison et ces fleurs sont extraordinaires!
J'adore la déco et j'apprécie l'élégance de l'endroit!
Merci pour ces belles photos!

Swoon!
Always amazes me how such beauty and incredible scent can come out of a few canes.
You'll also find me in the garden after a family wedding.
I wish I had a garden to work in but alas when we move that is high on my list! Cannot wait......love those pictures above....that house is utterly dreamy!!
I am sitting here in my daggy gardening outfit, with one foot out the door, to spend a delicious morning pottering in my garden too.
What is that heavenly rose? A bourbon of sorts? It's rose pruning time for me, so also a good chance to sneak some new plants in if I can hide them from my husband. He hates rose bushes (having come to grief on a thorny variety when a child) so I have to get very very sneaky. But those old fashioned varieties, with a heady scent....oh they makes my knees wobble.
What a terribly gorgeous rose. I love the summer time for those flowers.
What a beautiful shade of pink this rose is! Just lovely. x Sharon
“I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”
- Eleanor Roosevelt
Amazing!! What a beautiful post!
I found your blog only today and I love it!
Your photos are lovely and the rose window that surrounds so much charm!
