Latest Obsession: Wing chairs

I have totally become obsessed with the open back wing chair.  I have seen them around and have been using them very often in my work.  Some of my favorites are the grey leather from Crate and Barrel, our  Holt in linen, Lauren Liess's Mad Hatter wing chair and a pair of wing chairs from Suzanne Rheinstein in her New York apartment.

love this look and I have been searching and searching for something to add to my living area that would give me this look without the big price tag.  I found a pair of these beauties at the flea market on Sunday and they have sparked a design revolution in my family room...  They are a great smaller scale and beg to be slip covered right now, the pink is not for me and someday I will upholster them in a beautiful grey linen.   For now I am thinking a crisp tight fitting white slipcover.

What do you think?  Do you like??

I still mourn the wing back chairs I left in England when I moved to the Bay Area, slipcovered in coarse linen. You feel so cosy sitting in these chairs!

fabulous find...and a slip cover for the time being until you're able to reupholster them is perfect...don't forget to use your cheap cotton dropcloth for the slipcover..it can be dyed..I've tea stained them easily to give a striated effect which looks more "worn" and not so new-ish looking.. and they're cheap..
best of luck..show pics...

Beautiful chairs - I have an antique wing back that I refuse to give up, even though it's bedraggled and the springs could stand to be retied. Looking for fabric now, the gray linen sounds good...

Great chairs! Go with the gray linen. I think it would be perfect.
I love wing chairs. I fell in love with them when I went to the law enforcement academy years ago, where there were three or four of them in the lobby where I and some of the other cadets would settle and study. So comfortable!
