Some days you cannot place your finger on what exactly you love about a photo or a space but it is inspiring. Some photos just make me think that life is full of so many layers and ideas that it is hard to separate them into any type of design thought. Does that make any sense? Often when I look at a photo of a space I can see the elements separately that make it up, but there are other times that I just cannot pinpoint what it is that makes me love it- I just do...
These two images are like that for me...

Perfectly described - I fully understand your statements.
more than the sum of their parts. i know why i love the top image - the lithography stone! i used to make stone lithographs, drawing on marble is extraordinary. i'd love to have a stone, just to look at it! x
Bonsoir Christina,
J'adore l'ambiance de cet endroit!

I like the top image. Something about the coolness of the materials used makes it appeal to me.

Perhaps it is that both of this images are reflections of the souls of the spaces rather then simple photos. In the first photo it is as if the space were waiting in patient anticipation for its artist to arrive; prepared for the creative moment. It seems as if the space shown in the second images is also waiting for its creator, perhaps for the children to arrive back from school......... These spaces are yearning for their creators, perhaps. Thanks for this great post with images that make me go deeper. Mary
