Okay so here is my question.. do you like the cabinets in a greige with white walls or do you like the walls in grey with white cabinets? This is a dilemma, because I really like the color on the cabinets but it is a complete commitment. While if you paint the walls you can change that a bit more easily.
I loved the color on the cabinets in the top picture, Farrow and Ball of course!
What do you think?

The first pic gets my vote..love that color, its so rich and warm and the stark white feels a little boring and predicatable.
Have it both ways ... don't be safe! Greige cabinets are warm and more interesting ... and gorgeous with the grey on the walls with white accents - especially with stainless, nickel, even a bit of copper here and there ... mmm!

I LOVE both, but I always worry about the white cabinets getting dirty. If anyone under the age of 25 in your house, that may be a concern...if not - go for it! I really LOVE both looks!
the coloured cabinets look great but i would prefer coloured walls because it is easier to change again sometimes
I love the gray, but the white looks so crisp and clean and the gray walls pop against the white cabinets! Tough, tough decision...

But that being said, I like the white cabs with painted walls better. Just me.
I think you should do greige with white walls.

I'd put a greige on the walls and keep the cabinets a rich wood stain which is better for resale value.

I like both... the greige cabinets feel warmer and cozier, but the white cabinets are so fresh and crisp. Which feeling do you want to capture in the end?
I can't believe I'm saying this...have never had white cabinets...I always vote warmer...but between these two I'm voting for the white cabinets and grey walls. That kitchen is fabulous from top to bottom. Love the pop of orange in the fabric too.

No question. White cabinets! Love that kitchen, and with grey walls, you get your grey fix. I'm afraid if you go with greige cabinets, you will be repainting them in about 3 years...White to me is classic.

Not even a question for me. You ARE Greige. You are committed. Go for it, then show us how brilliant it all looks. Greige all the way. White is just white, no imagination, no pizazz, totally normal. Don't be mad at me.....

Walls in grey, cabinets in white. No two ways about it! The only way I think you could get away with the opposite is if the Grey were darker in value...

For such a big decision, I think location might influence the decision.
I'd select the grey cabinets if I had the luxury of California or southern sunshine and climate.
For a northern location, with fewer days of sunshine & colder temps, I'd opt for the white cabinets.
I love Architectral Details' response. Of course colors and tones are place sensitive...and some people need a brighter surroundings to keep their energy levels up. Mary
Definitely the white cabinets...gives you much more flexibility and a crisp white kitchen is classic and beautiful. I would hate for you to tire of greige cabinets after a few years and be locked in...
Go for the greige cabinets. I don't think you'll regret it. We have cabinets the color of dark roasted coffee beans in our kitchen and I love them. It makes the kitchen so much more interesting. Go for it!
I love the gray cabinets but you are right, its a commitment. But if you love the gray you might want to make that commitment. :-)

In a perfect world...gray cabinets. In my world, I just had mine sprayed Dove White....couldn't commit.
Greige with white walls all the way. As to which greige... ask yourself which you would feel most comfortable wearing. Which is more complimentary to your skin tone? Chose that one because it will make your mood (and future photos) that much better.
