Inspiration (commercially speaking)

I am knee deep in the process of designing a commercial space right now and I am completely inspired by the work of AvroKO.  We are taking the darker library approach with an industrial modern twist.  I am excited to use some wood flooring treatments for paneling on the walls and adding a brick to the space to create a sense of age that is not already there.  All of the details are like a layering effect in the space.  I have found so many ideas and they are all swimming around up there just waiting to get down on paper and made in physical forms.
It should be fun to say the least!

I hope you’ll share what you’re doing later on as I would love to see it. I’m sort of doing the same thing in our home even though it’s over 200+ years. We have aged wood leftover from our barn renovation and I want to incorporate it into our home. I want to take some of the traditional out and add slight modern/industrial to bring it into the 21st century.

I want to thank you so much for the quick delivery of my bag and I love it! I’ve already used it when at our small grocer and people asked where I got it, it really is beautiful and practical.

Great pictures! They remind me of a very cool hotel in Teton Village in Jackson Hole. This hotel (can't remember the name right now) used a lot of reclaimed material because they were going for LEED certification. It was sort of the darker, library approach too. Hope you will show us more pictures of this project as it progresses.

Happy Thursday!
