So loving this!

I find it interesting how my taste varies.. I know that there are people who like one thing and one thing only, but I swing back and forth.  I love clean beautiful spaces and old crumbly spaces at the same time.  I think when a space is well done it really speaks for itself.  Now there are somethings I just don't like but to each his own.

What about you?  Do you have one style that you like or do you like more than one or even a mix?

Like you my taste swings back and forth but I also like something that functions well for its purpose. This kitchen is fabulous with all the wood and stone and may I say size? I have a smallish kitchen so anything bigger gets my vote. I definitely like the uncluttered look.

Changes daily; so much so I am contemplating changing my name to "Eclectic."

I could not agree more - I love a mix of shiny crisp new with crumbly old.
I have that image too which I love.

Before design school, my taste ran one direction. After design school and being in the design industry, I have an appreciation for many other styles. This kitchen is wonderful! The colors and materials are very chic.

I noticed that the designer used chrome light fixtures with the stainless appliances--I think it works.

In my younger years, I always had a leaning towards a design style that would be considered European. As I have aged, I find I have an appreciation for all styles but love and find my heart is with the more rustic and simple French, Belgium and Swedish design.

Spirit of place! My houses have been very different - metre thick stone walls in France, Regency moulding in London, and now a wooden cabin built over the water (and there were less memorable places as well), and each demanded something different. Only constants were my heavy white linen curtains which lasted four moves, replaced in August with some sadness...

I saw this kitchen recently and also love it even though it's a little more modern and dark in color than my usual taste. I took note of the island's thick wood slab and the pendant fixtures.
