Black in the kitchen

I am sure that many of you much like me, spent A LOT of time in the kitchen this week. I realized how completely not functional mine is!!!  I cannot wait to get to fixing that problem!  Next year the kitchen is in my plans.

I am curious what do you like the best about your kitchen?  What is the most functional?

Beautiful images

I love floor which have their tiles or wood set diagonally. It gives extra texture and style to a space

For me the best is the looooong countertops, where I have plenty of space to work! And I certainly need a window over the sink! LOL

Great lighting shining directly above your work surfaces are 'THE' must for me. (i don't have this) and it is soo frustrating.
some other must haves would include:
wall mount faucet, large window & sill above sink, lots of drawers (deep and shallow), large pantry, long run of uninterrupted counter space, hanging linen storage for tablecloths, & easy clean floors.

Great images of black in a kitchen. Love the lantern.

The best thing in a kitchen for me is a room size pantry so that everything you want is instantly at hand but not cluttering up your work space. My aim in life is never to have overhead or corner cupboards again!

That's a beautiful kitchen and like the touches of black. I like the easy layout of my kitchen and our island was an absolute must have this week!

Enjoy your weekend!

great kitchen and I love the black! the floor is beautiful here as well, and I think a little bit of a surprise to go dark on the floor...the mix of marble surfaces and stainless are perfect choices here as well! I re-did my kitchen last year and my favorite part functionally is the large drawers I chose for pots and pans, baking supplies, etc. I have 9 and they are so much easier than lower cabinets with doors...easier to access, great storage and convenience...I also love my soapstone counters, so easy to care for and they look fabulous even when they are cluttered, lol

Love, love, love the clean designs that Tommy Smythe produces. I think this kitchen was featured in House and Home Canada too. So lovely with the hits of hard black, shiny metal, and natural aged feeling wood. Beautiful.

I love a kitchen to have enough room so people can gather there......the heart of a home. Better still if it is attractive, functional and speaks of the occupants personalities.
