I am a collector, are you? I don't collect any one thing really just things that speak to me. It is a weird thing if you think about it, searching through new and old things trying to find the things that make me smile or just catch my eye based on their color, texture and quality or lack of quality. I fell in LOVE with the first picture everything about it is just amazing- it is full of so many things that appeal to me I cannot even explain it.
What do you collect? Are you a collector of all things like me or of specific pieces?
What is your obsession?

I used to be more focused as a collector but now pretty much whatever catches my eye. Love these groupings and I know they come together slowly.
Christina. I never considered myself a collector. However over the years I have amassed quite a few beautiful linen napkins. Books of course and art!

For my first apartment, it was vintage gold glassware. Now, it's what catches my eye, 'the flavor of the day', and seems as if the more we see life, the more our eclectic tastes expand, and change. I wish I could focus on one type of collectible, but at least I realize I need to edit, and sometimes one of something is enough to make a statement in my heart. And, the vintage gold glassware is packed away, but still cherished.
Yes! I adore old papers, books, and magazines, vintage laces, trims and linens, rusty metal and patina covered copper, etc....
Clocks, Eiffel Towers, pottery that's handmade/signed but that has ended up in a thrift store (I call them my orphans), other pottery, interior design books, Colette, May Sarton...in other words, way too many things
I collect little boxes that I find pretty, glass bottles, beach glass, sea shells and anything that reminds me of or is antique.
Who can resist collecting art? I also collect anything old that takes my fancy - urns, furniture, fabrics, kitchenware.
Warm regards
totally understanding you! that firt picture is gorgeous I only do not like the little owl,

I am with you... there are a few things that I seek to collect, but on the whole, not so much. I may fall in love with a pretty teacup, or gloves, maybe a table—it all depends... I have a few napkins and tags from a shop in Paris that have never been used, and the like... half the fun is in the discovery, I think :)
