I have been seeing a lot of photographs from this view lately and I think it really makes you see some wonderful details in these spaces that might get lost otherwise.. Love the stairs and the floors!
I am Las Vegas today at the furniture show.. hoping to come back with some great new pieces!
Happy February everyone!

I love taking photos like this when I can. My other favorite trick is to take a photo into a mirror to you get a reverse image...it's amazing how much more you see if it's a room you live in...the reverse image tricks the eye into seeing it a whole new way.

C, don't you love this perspective? Those herringbone floors are totally awesome ! Love you....
They are great views... One of my favorite also on a project that I just finished was from the top of the grand staircase down into the front entrance. And another one down into the huge "gaming" room that
that houses so many different conversation areas.
Just a very different perspective and you see it in a very different light...
Great photos.
these views
make me feel tall
and i adore that black and white staircase
which is giving me all sorts of ideas

I believe you're right. You can appreciate all the details much better from looking down than from eye level shots. Pretty floors!
Oh, yes, we can see all the details when the pictures are taken from this view.
The floors are really gorgeous.
Warm hugs from Brasil.

I must say that gorgeous black and white stairway would look equally superb from any angle. Great photo perspectives!
I L.O.V.E. the black painted floors in the first picture!
You are so right, the way this stairwell was photograph is quite impressive, it gives the impression we are climbing all the way up, and this is what stairs are for, going up is the discovery of new things.
Thanks can't wait to see all your new new beautiful things.
