Even with a lot of wear and tear this Parisian apartment makes my heart skip a beat. How do they do it? It is so perfectly imperfect. The floors are amazing along with all of the moulding details. I am not sure how much I would want to change if I lived there. What about you - would you feel the need to fix this beauty up or keep it just so?

LOOK at those floors.... oh Lord help! :)
There is a dealer in New England who sources reclaimed flooring like that from old homes in France/Europe... Almost pulled the trigger on getting some for our renovation but then practicality won out... Oh who am I kidding... HUBBY won out. ;)
I have loved your blog for so long -- thanks for the posts. Always so full of beauty! :)

...i would move in and sleep and picnic on the floors...perfection needs nothing more...
I would put my mark on it. I love reclaimed aged oak floors, a bit of a stain though. Amazing to see!

i once spent a week in an apartment just like this, opposite hotel de ville (and they do such amazing things outside the town hall, too! fascinating to watch the displays). if something is beautiful at this age, i wouldn't touch it - just put my things here and there and love the patina. beautiful.
I LOVE IT!!!
I would leave it as is! I'm especially in love with the red and white toile wallpaper. Yep, I'd leave this apartment just as it is!
My heart too skipped a beat! I agree on the floors - just divine.

Merci. Fine.
Simply perfect the way it is... Charm cannot be added that easily. Pretty nice the way it is.
