Okay now this kitchen contains a few of my favorites.. lots of light, concrete sink and counters with white cabinets. Another contender in my list of favorites. What do you think? I am curious does anyone have concrete counters in their house? How do you like them? I love how these are thin and simple with a small back splash.
Thank you to Betsy who had more information on the kitchen pictured... this product is Fireslate which is a combination of cement, silica and other items... kinda cool.

Great blog...
Lovely kitchen , I checked out the rest of your posts , and I'm your newest follower...I invite you to visit my world as well!!! Blessings Lori
Sorry we have soapstone counters but we have soapstone gray tiles on the floor and I love them! I also have a zinc dish like the one holding the flowers but never thought of putting a plant in it until now.
Enjoy your Sunday!

There isn't much that you 'tout' that I don't love. This kitchen so simple, but so beautiful!! I love love love the footed gray container with the green floral plant. But then of course, your muse, what doesn't look good with grey!!??
I second Mary Anne!
I find when using colors like grey and beige I avoid those particular words with clients, because they go, really? Instead its smoke, dove, mocha, cafe o lait. you get it. Happy Sunday!
Love those choice of words, Lexie! I have grey in my kitchen and I absolutely adore it!
Beautiful - we had concrete counters in our last house and loved them, and I'm crushing on that concrete sink. I am thinking about a concrete topped island in our house plan, as I don't think marble will make the short list on the budget side. We shall see.
Hi Christine! My girlfriend has that same look with a very light soapstone which is not subject to cracking like thin concrete. But now there are so many additives so that now concrete can be 'high-tech. Have a couple of friends with concrete counters. They like them but have had some cracking and that's not good.
Love this look, too.

gray in the kitchen is just peachy with me!
I could live with a gray kitchen. Beautiful.

I have dark thin simple concrete counters in my kitchen and love them - they have acquired what I fondly think of as 'patina' (doting fool that I am): I was so tired of seeing double-depth shiny granite!
Gorgeous...your whole blog! I'm your newest follower.
