I have to admit that I have a weakness for vintage flags, a big weakness. I love them and seem to be picking them up often at the flea market each month. We framed a large union jack for my son's bedroom which looks pretty amazing but I have a bunch of other pieces that I need to do something with. I see them often now and think that they make great showpieces.
What about you do you love this latest trend in framed and hanging vintage flags in design? Do you have any?

Christiana,
I love the first image...it is gorgeous. I have only one flag, American. It is not vintage and was given to my mother-in-law when my father-in-law passed away 10 years ago. I guess in another 10 years it will be considered vintage. LOL
I love the pattern on the Union Jack flag and think it would looks wonderful framed.
RED? You scared me there for a minute until I got to loving all those great photos!
I have a Union Jack. Use it as a bedspread when Brit friends come over for a visit...
Hi Christina. That's my office in photo 3...with the sunburst mirror. Of course...I'm tearing it apart right now. Since I took that photo that flag (Dutch I think) has made it from there to tucked into my office chair...to...to be continued! Love flags for sneaking in a bit of color. Trish
Which flea markets in Toronto do you go to to find these vintage flags? and any decor plans for the victoria long weekend?
Me too Christina! There is so much emotion attached to a flag - be it one that represents a family or a country. I think this trend will continue to grow. Seeing flags popping up in frames everywhere!
Happy weekend and lots of love from Sweden!

I love everything about this...it's so warm and inviting and not at all perfect...which is what makes it so great. I have a very old worn flag that I got at a flea market about 15 years ago...I think it might be time to do something with it...in my new (old) house. I do see them everywhere and love them more every time I see them...Juxtaposition always has a great collection.
nice idea.. thanks for sharing.
